This course will be held the week before the ICoMST, from Thursday the 9th to Saturday the 11th of August 2012. It will take place at the Institut de tourisme et hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) in Montréal. The program includes some of North America’s leading scientists, amongst whom:
At the end of the course participants will obtain an official certificate of attendance from the renowned Université Laval in Québec City. The pre-conference graduate student course will provide participants with competencies in basic and applied meat science in the following areas:

Take advantage of an incredibly low rate of CAD$200 for three days including lectures, materials and lunches.
All other meals are not included and will be at the students’ charge. All dues have to be paid no later than June **July 8th**, 2012. In the event of cancellations, registration fees will only be reimbursed if the spot is re-filled. A $50 administration fee will be withheld on all reimbursements.
A maximum of 50 students from the graduate to post-doctoral level will be selected according to the principle “first come, first served”. Since there are a few places still open, registration is now open to all professionals with training or experience. This is an ideal course for employees’ training. In the event of too many requests, a waiting list will be established to ensure the course is fully subscribed in the event of cancellations.
Students can stay at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel at the negotiated conference rate (up to 2 people per room). All the information is available in the Accommodation section of this website.
The preconference Graduate course in Meat Science is being organized by Dr. Luigi Faucitano (AAFC-Sherbrooke) as Chair, with the assistance of the following committee members: Drs.
